Carpenters & joiners

Joinery with time to plane

Measuring at the customer's, drawing, cut list, quote: most of it happens in the evening. craftflowOS turns a photo and a few words into a draft quote while you're still at the customer's.

What matters in a joinery between made-to-measure work, workshop and installation

Made-to-measure work: measuring up, drawing, customer approval

With a piece of furniture made to measure, every mistake is expensive because the material has already been cut. So there is a fixed order: measure first, then draw, then get approval, then build. Measure everything that matters on site: sloping walls, recesses, sockets, window sills, skirting boards. The drawing shows the customer what they will get, and their approval is the basis for everything that follows. Write down what was approved and when. If something does not fit later, it is clear what you both started from. In Customers & projects of craftflowOS, notes, quotes and history are attached to the customer, and you find the approval again without searching.

Customers & projects

Keeping workshop time and installation time apart

A piece of joinery work has two places: the workshop where it is built and the site where it is installed. Each has its own times, its own risks and often its own people. If you throw both into one pot in the quote, you cannot explain afterwards why a kitchen took longer than expected. It is better to estimate the two parts separately: cutting, making, finish, transport, fitting, adjusting on site. That shows you where the calculation pays off and where it does not. The customer also understands that the installation day only comes once everything in the workshop is finished, and can clear the rooms in good time.

Change requests as a variation order

In the middle of the job the customer notices they would rather have one more drawer or a different wood. That is normal, and it changes the order. What matters is that it becomes a variation order before you carry on building: briefly describe what changes, what it costs and how it moves the date. The customer confirms, and only then is it built. Without that step you end up arguing about things nobody wrote down. With Quote by photo you briefly describe the change, and craftflowOS drafts a quote with line items from your catalog, which you check and adjust.

Questions from the workshop

Can I give dimensions and material by voice?

Yes. You describe the job the way you would explain it to a colleague on the phone. craftflowOS suggests items from your catalogue, you check them.

Does it work at the customer's in an old building without signal?

Yes, for the essentials: you can save appointments, site documentation and quote drafts even without signal. They are sent as soon as your phone has a connection again.

Is there e-invoicing?

The invoice is built from your project data and goes out by e-mail as a PDF with your own letterhead. E-invoicing and GoBD compliance come with every plan.

How do employees get into the workshop documentation?

Everyone who works with you gets their own access with the app and speaks their progress straight into the project. You can book additional seats at any time.

Can others see my customer data?

Your data is stored on servers in Germany and processed in line with GDPR. The app only uses camera and microphone for photos and speech, and in your system settings you decide what it may do.
